MY MONEY MAKER SHAKER!!!! :)

FOR THE PAST 2 WEEKS WE HAVE BEEN IN NU-WORKS WORKING WITH OUR HOMEMADE INSTRUMENTS. AFTER THEY WERE CONSTRUCTED, THE CLASS WAS SPLIT UP INTO GROUPS TO MAKE MINI BANDS. IT WAS COOL TO SEE WHAT PEOPLE MADE AND HOW THEY PUT THEIR INSTRUMENTS TOGETHER AS A GROUP. :)

Movement

This week in nu-works was focused upon our movement projects. We were instructed to come up with different videos that demonstrates movement. The video is focused on the way dancers move their bodies in ways we wouldn't move them in everyday life. To see how the how Bryce moved was very very interesting to watch. Throughout the whole video production there was a ton of moving going on. From Kristin moving her fingers swiftly across the piano keys, to Delon flowing with the sound of the saxophone. Ja'Kira guided the camera to film this amazing video, and Imani seemed to float on air as her beautiful voice filled the room. I even moved around as I did behind the scene tasks!

SHAPES AND MOVEMENT

The last time our nu-works class got together we, experimented with our bodies. Basically we were encouraged to get out of our comfort zones and enter another side of ourself. It was very weird and out of the norm for most people to do. In the end I believe everyone had an amazing time

Life at Booker T :)

I feel so comfortable in this environment. The teachers, students, and staff members are always there to help when you need them. I can really say this isn't a typical high school. People are so free to express themself in their own way. All I can say is life at Booker T is the way to be.
